“Grief has never been private; it has always been communal. Subconsciously, we are awaiting the presence of others, before we can feel safe enough to drop to our knees on the holy ground of sorrow.” —Francis Weller
When there have been countless mass shootings in 2025 alone, combined with the start of the school year, there is a helplessness, fear, and collective grief that mothers feel. Come be held in your grief. We aren’t meant to feel the weight of this grief alone, nor are we able to process it without the assurance of feeling connected to our shared humanity. Please join Sara Capule of Mothering Together and Ann Odom of The Reprogrammed Parent for one comforting hour dedicated to mothers gathering to process grief together and in doing so co-building capacity to face the heartbreaking realities of our world.
